A new beginning…

Argent Paws Artisan here. I wanted to open this up with some detail about me. I’ve always been a DIY crafter-type. I have a lot of previous projects doing wood work, leather working, sewing (most common), and glass etching. I enjoy all of them, but for some reason dice making is really calling to me. I think maybe it’s the sheer amount of artistry that you can put into a small object.

Each custom dice is unique, it’s not something that can be easily replicated or mass produced. Sure, there are dice factories out there, and while many of them are simply beautiful, I want to provide a service where every single item is unique. Thus begins my foray into dice making. Currently I’m in the “gather everything stage”. We’ve started getting my supplies in so I can get my hand dirty (figuratively, always wear gloves) and start making the beauties I see in my head.

While I was working on that, I’ve been doing a side project of designing custom fabric. I was tired of not being able to find dice fabric in the colors I wanted. In the amounts I needed, and when I was looking for it. Since my sister is also making masks and scrub caps for hospitals now, I thought the idea of being able to create custom fabric would benefit us both. I’ve repurposed my Argent Paws Artisan name from being a general craft/hobbyist, to a more dedicated purpose.

First up are the primary dice colors and coordinates that I have already released. These are printed on demand through Spoonflower, so they never run out of stock, and you can order as much as you could possibly need. I have a villain-inspired line currently holding for proofs (that one is for you, sissa). I also have a small selection of “real world” inspired fabrics. These are designed to match existing dice or palettes I’ve seen through the Goblin Dice Hoard group on Facebook. These are not intended to infringe on any creator’s toes, but were created in hopes to accent the beautiful sets that they have made.

As always, any feedback or suggestions are more than welcome. I hope to open my dice store my the end of the year, all things considering.

Best Wishes and Happy Gaming,

Danielle W., Argent Paws Artisan
